In this tournament I won 5 rounds and only lost in the 6th. You can see my results in detail in my Results page here.

The French tennis draws are very strange. Not at all like in Switzerland or USA. Here, they start with lower ranked players, and little by little add stronger players to the draw.

Above is the first part of the draw where I played against Estelle Demes, then Carla Frequelin, and Emeline Michel. I beat them all relatively easily.

In fact TENUP (the French federation site) has bugs. My rating is between 15/2 and 15/1 and their program, instead of putting my rating, put “USA” (as you can see above), so because of that, the organizers made me play against weak 30/3 and 15/2 players, whom I beat 6/0 6/0. If they had put my correct rating of 15/1, I should have started with Emeline Michel, rated 15/1 which was a more balanced match. We wrote to TENUP to ask them to fix it but who knows if they ever will…

Above is the second part of the draw, where I beat Clelia Drudi Lombardi (UTR 6.84) and Olga Danilova (UTR 7.03). Those are strong players with a higher UTR rating than me so I’m happy I beat them.

In the last round I lost to Indya Nespor, UTR 7.84, who beat me 6-2 6-2.

Overall it was a good tournament for me. Between my last 2 tournaments my French rating should go up from 15.2 to 15, and my UTR rating should go up also from about 6.40 to above 6.60 I hope.
